The outstanding paintings of the Southafrican artist Anet du Toit hardly leave anyone untouched. So does one of her latest paintings, the Leopard drinking at the waterhole. Inspired by a reference photography by Peter Pischel, Anet led her fans throughout the whole work in progress which she calls “Canvas Quickstep”. One can follow the steps of how Anet lets the motif grow, how one assumes to see the Leopard within the blurry colors of the shimmering water and how the wildcat gazes at the observer ready to move at any moment. “At the waterhole” is truly another magnificent masterpiece by Anet du Toit.
